Working on Joppa from its inception gave us an opportunity to create a nonprofit brand backed by a cause we believe in. The founders wanted a brand that upheld their value of displaying Christ’s unconditional love. Every week, Joppa volunteers engage in outreach, housing, aftercare and advocacy for the homeless in the Des Moines Metro area.
We donated our time to create a brand that was rooted in the gospel. The Biblical town of Joppa was a seaport where goods were traded. ACTS 9:36 says “In Joppa, there was a disciple named Tabitha who was always doing good and helping the poor.” The logo, which is an abstraction of a cross made of hearts, is representative of Christ and His unconditional love.
